Legal Statements
The Code of Alabama, 1975, §34-3-1, prohibits the Law Library staff from providing and performing legal research for the public.
The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 16, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyright material. Photocopies or other reproductions can be furnished only under certain conditions: if they will be used solely for private study, scholarship, or research. Use of the reproduction for other purposes may make the user liable fro copyright infringement. The Jefferson County Law Library reserves the right to refuse a document delivery request if, in its judgment, fulfilling the request would constitute a violation of the copyright law.
